Pros
Management never did the "look over your shoulder" act. Very lenient with time off. Pay was good. Per-idem was excellent. Let you cross train and help if you so desired.
Cons
Not always supportive of your decisions. Local management was to political in supporting employees interpretation and adherence to contract documents. Management to slow responding to interpretation and adherence to contract documents. "Family and friends employees had to much control of project Leads. Appearance of sacrificing an employees' integrity, Quality control and experience for pleasing sub-contractors for profit reasons.
