Pros

Parent company is attempting to bridge the gap of the old guard and incorporating changes at the executive level.

Cons

Constant frustration and lack of communication across interdepartmental teams. Release of products without going through technical readiness and hence throwing the product issues over the fence to customer facing teams.

Pros

Benefits are good and can remote work whenever.

Cons

CEO and CTO are trying their best but are focusing on the wrong things. Employee retention is the last thing they worry about. Compensation is up to industry standards. The levels for career growth are very broad so that they can pay less according to title while giving more responsibility. You can only advance from software engineer to senior software engineer after working on that level for an average of 10years. Senior software engineers also have responsibility of lead engineers without official title so that they can be paid less. Has a lot of tech debt and it keeps on increasing. Deployment processes are completely broken making it harder for engineers to have a smooth process.

Colleague retention is a continuous topic among our leadership team and we recognize that different things matter to each individuals job satisfaction. We would love to better understand your advice to management so if you are comfortable setting up time to share more with your leader, the CTO or your People Business Partner we would appreciate hearing more about your recommendation for how we can improve.
