Pros

Great product and great colleagues.

Cons

Management in EMEA is one of the worse, if not the worse I've ever seen in my career.

Pros

lots of snacks in the office if you are junior and fresh out of uni - Matterport is a good start to get a Saas company on your resume

Cons

I have been working at Matterport for just over 2 years and have seen multiple top level changes in US and EMEA, below are some of the things I have witnessed. no clear career progression- you will be told to get promoted if you do 2 jobs at once "you only get the role if you prove to us: next to your existing role, that you can do the job you want to be promoted"/ your manager will change the goals/objectives for your promotion on a constant basis, mostly shortly before you achieve your objectives for a promotion - management changes the objectives. they will tell you multiple different roles to pursue within 12 month and come back at the end to you with "you seem like you do not really know which role you really want" although it is them who is changing the roles & objectives - very inexperienced management in UK - none of the managers has managed people in the past - micro management is big - favourites are being played and only those who are in line with management will get promotion / people who are friends with management have a lot of freedom and lee-way in everything they do. special treatments for friends basically. same applies for promotions- you are voicing concerns or bringing issues to management attention - you wont get a promotion -retaliation if you speak up about issue is the norm. you will be excluded from meetings and groups and I have witnessed managers telling me to "stay away" from certain people - people are getting "branded" as "frustrated" within the company to exclude them from socials activities within the companies I have seen experienced sales directors getting excluded from management because they are voicing concerns and giving unpleasant feedback to the management you will be made redundant on first possible occasion - no recognition for achievements -in fact I have seen the leadership team taking credits for deals that have been closed by Sales rep -pay is under industry standards
