Pros

The overall mission of what the company set out to accomplish was admirable. The people (most) at the HQ were great and passionate about helping the nurses feel like part of the team and doing whatever they could to implement programs, policies and procedures to increase quality and improve delivery of care. Also had a great employee foundation which helped boost camaraderie and morale throughout the org. Brad and Bill were fabulous though.

Cons

Too much turnover at the executive level and other important functions to help improve the bottom line. Benefits are horrendous to say the least. They also don't have a clear vision of who they want to be and what they want to focus on to grow the business. One month it was one theme and the next it was on to something else.

Pros

- The people! The office is young and lively. - Very little turnover in the Cleveland office. - PTO is much greater than any other entry level position - Management is helpful and invested in your career - Opportunity for advancement - Experience in recruiting, HR, healthcare, payroll, sales, and standard business operations

Cons

- The on-call requirement. One night a week and one weekend every 6 weeks. Doesn't really affect my social life or sleeping habits, just a little more responsibility... Answering the on-call phone, book shifts, handle any incidents - Pay is OK. Not great, but you can definitely live off of it.

Pros

Decent pay right out of college Learn a lot, only because you are responsible for everything Makes you appreciate any other job that much more

Cons

I wouldn't feel right about myself if I wrote another comment in the Pros section. I've written reviews for Maxim before and I felt the need to do it again. Anyone who is thinking of working for Maxim, stop, turn around, and run the other direction. 60-80 hour work weeks on call nights and weekends, and holidays thrown under the bus for everything wrong in the office d****head managers terrible upper management political lets see how hard you can work until your promoted or fired mentality No lunches or breaks of any kind (well I took up smoking because of maxim and took breaks for that. Thanks Maxim) I was actually quite successful with Maxim having worked there for 3 years. Was about to get promoted but was just so fed up with the company. Couldn't be happier for where I am at now.
