      Pros

      Freedom to bond with patient families and external staff.

      Cons

      Very low pay, long hours, no matter what you do it's not good enough, inexperienced management, lack of leadership in offices, detached management, focus on points system for things that are not relevant to success, political environment, disrespect for each other in the office.

      Pros

      I've had some interesting cases. Met some lovely families. Learned a lot. And was accommodated for some needed time off.

      Cons

      Communication from the office is minimal. Scheduling is awkward. Orientation is pretty much ignored, and when scheduled, underpaid. Cost of benefits to hourly employees has increased almost 100% in 5 years. And now wages have gone down. It's demoralizing, and disappointing. I've got five years more experience and a higher degree of education than I had when I came, and earn less. Odd way to show satisfaction with a loyal employee.
