      They do what they can with what they have...

      Pros

      Considering we don't support home care well in either this state or this country, and this agency takes Medi-Cal patients, the agency does the best they can to keep their patients covered and their staff employed, I think. Communication could be a little better, support when I need time off is very good, so it's a trade-off.

      Cons

      I understand why benefits being available depends on number of hours worked, but I don't like it. Again, I think it's a function of working with what they have.

      Good Opportunity - Evaluate Your Market Carefully

      Pros

      Good opportunity to move into a management position and gain valuable experience as a Branch/Account Manager. Generally fun office environment and good promotion of team building.

      Cons

      Long hours and relatively low pay for recruiters - being on call is probably the worst part at the recruiter level. Industry is pretty competitive and more and more Maxim seems to be getting priced out (bill rates and external employee pay rates) by some of their competitors. The Staffing division operates in several markets that don't have enough potential to sustain a physical office and its employees.

      Pros

      Flexible work schedule, a degree of independence depending on the type of nursing you're doing. Training was not so good. Some big company advantages

      Cons

      Base pay varies greatly state to state. Job availability varies greatly state to state and region to region. Often things are not done properly.
