The only pro is schedule flexibility.

Cons

Salary is a joke! Speaking with the office manager 6 months ago was pointless! I was promised a review after my excellent evaluation and that was where my request ended. Benefits are good but just got cancelled until April when I took 2 days off for planned vacation. There is no PTO, no sick time and little management support. Absolutely no incentive for a seasoned nurse. The company is top heavy! They don't even try to staff replacement help if I am sick; typically my shift just goes uncovered.

Pros

Autonomy. Choice of patients, locations. Readily available, knowledgeable clinical support. Friendly, responsive field support. Skills training pertaining to individual patient needs. Some in-office skills reviews.

Cons

Low pay. No accrued time off for 5 years. (No vacation or sick days.) No weekend differential pay. Lots of required training for corporate and government rules and regulations via online videos. Training hours paid at minimum wage.
