Pros

PTO, young environment, and lunch breaks.

Cons

Cold calling, sitting at a desk for 9 hours, immature leadership, poor communication, no direct lead for policy and procedures, poor compensation compared to workload, unethical business. I was never told that the job would include cold calling. I feel like a salesperson. I would not have gone to school for four years if I wanted to be a salesperson - I would have saved my money and sold cars to willing customers.

Pros

Not many unless they need you and have to pay you more for your then they will. #RNtruthyourworthmore

Cons

Recruiters job is to pay you as little as possible. The more money they make Maxim the better their bonus. At your yearly review they will grade your Job skills and not your Nurse manager. they will offer you the lowest amount they can say .25 cent hourly raise if you take it they get a bonus. If you say I'm worth more and deserve a$ $2.00 and hour raise then they will do all they can to act like your not worth it and that they just can't afford to pay you. BUT...If you give them the ultimatum of quitting if not given your raise and walk away and go home. The they WILL call you back and give you your raise b/c they would rather make less money off you than none at all. Each quarter they have competitions for bonuses meaning the more money they make Maxim the better their chances for making a bonus. The Senior recruiter makes the most. If you say you will work for less then don't expect to get a raise however you will be appreciated by the recruiters answering the phones b/c you are being taken advantage of for working for less hourly pay than your peers. It's a game of manipulation. As long as your happy, you will not want an increase in pay, and they know this. As an RN you are expected to be exact, ethical, and rewarded. As a recruiter however it's about sales! As long as you accept the low pay then you have no one else to blame but yourself... cold hard truth.

Pros

The work we have to do isn't very difficult

Cons

-Does not want to go hybrid or remote, loves in person office culture. -Not a good place to work if you like to get things done. They want you to sit in the "pit" and do all of you work and phone calls in there. Meanwhile there is music blasting in the background and you can hear the loud phone conversations of your coworkers who are sitting about an arms length across from you. - Training was minimal in the beginning - They try to force the idea of being a BDM upon you even when there are so many other growth options in the company, but they never talk about those. - Newer recruiters were not notified about having to be "on-call" before being hired, it all came as a surprise to us. One day out of the week you have to be on-call and someone has to be on-call over the weekends as well. So don't apply here if you value a work-life balance.
