Program management groups and leadership can lack the knowledge necessary for the products they oversee. They proclaim a lot of "I want"s without understanding the limitations of products like email and SMS. This can leave the technical teams forced to create hack workarounds to achieve leaps through hoops of fire. This has led to high risk situations and has come back to bite some of the leadership's prior choices.
