Invests time and attention in its employees Good benefits package Transparency in promotion and salary decisions Good company growth; recent acquisitions looking good for the future

Cons

Processes in development and marketing have not made the transition from hardware to software. Some decision makers are clinging to old methods. Health insurance package is difficult to understand and use.

Pros

McKesson is a very large company and is generally very stable with benefits and compensation that are near market rate. They delivering EHR systems to our customers which help provide healthcare for patients.

Cons

McKesson is but it is organized in silos and it is often very difficult to work with other teams. Their technology stack is rather dated (e.g. Oracle 10g -- with no plans to upgrade!) and they are very averse to innovation or enhancements to products. They are often more deadline driven in their release process rather than results of feature driven.

Pros

McK offers some employees flexible schedules, work from home, part time (30 hours per week or more) with benefits. Our office has teams that really work well together, though that may be because some of us have been there through several acquisitions!

Cons

Typical huge corporation, with the accompanying administrivia. Recently there has been a big increase in the bare minimum approach to staffing, followed by management surprise when teams can't absorb unforeseen projects.
