Pros

Obviously not job security. Select groups have flex time and lots of telecommuting options. The benefits are outstand, both in terms of vacation time and insurance.

Cons

I think the headline says it all. No job security, stressed work worce, indifferent management. Most areas of the company are adamantly opposed to any flexibilty/telecommuting. Senior management is ruthless about cutting costs. Unless the money is being spent on themselves.

Pros

-Decent Pay -Management Bonuses -Sometimes you get to work on cool projects -If you do a good job, management usually leaves you alone

Cons

-Impossible to move up -No career path for technical (non-management) people -Management doesn't listen to you very well -Senior/Executive management has NO mid/long term plan. No steady direction. You have no idea what you'll be working on the next 1/2 of the year -Yearly project planning is a joke, they give you like 1/2 hour to try and plan it out an NEVER follow up on anything. Nobody does any resource or project dependency planning. -Just to drive the point home, because maybe somebody is listening - NO CAREER PATH FOR TECHNICAL (NON-MANAGEMENT) PEOPLE
