Pros

This is a fast paced environment where work is never boring. There are plenty of opportunities to grow in your career. The rate at which our business unit is growing allows for quick advancement if you put in the effort.

Cons

The balance between work and life is very poor. Working at McKesson will require serious compromises between working and living. Yearly raises are also poor and even promotions don't yield decent salary increases.

Pros

Its a large company and there is a vast amount of projects and work to be done. There are some great people that work there, and the knowelege that can be spread is a big asset to McKesson. Because the company is spread out across the counrty it make for a enjoyable way to meet people from all over.

Cons

McKesson's biggest downside is the way it treats employees. From the lack of support from HR to the confusion of a very top heavy management structure, its hard to get any work done, because the priority changes constantly. The oursourced HR model that McKesson uses ensures that you are treated as a number, not as an employee. There are very few opportunites to grow within the company and McKesson version of career advacenment is missing the mark.

Pros

Access to national view of pharma distribution and healthcare services from the leading company. McKesson pushes the envelope in developing unique strategies and tactics for doing business. Ability to have an impact or work on opportunities with other healthcare market leaders.

Cons

Senior leadership is going in the right direction, however, the "old boys club" mentality of upper management provides stagnation, frustration, and a glass ceiling to most employees. A select few perform the work while others are left to collecting paychecks with no advancement / contribution. Politics and micro-management are key contributors to most day-to-day frustrations.
