Pros

Very generous health benefits, time off, and the new hire bonus. There are many opportunities for advancement if you are able to stay long enough (at least 1 year) to change positions.

Cons

I worked there from January to May 2023. Mandatory overtime is required everyday. It is mandatory that every employee stay until all the work is completed. During my time there, I frequently worked 12 to 13 hour shifts, 5 days a week. Many other employees would stay even longer or work 6 days a week. Employees are not informed how much work remains until about 15 minutes prior to being allowed to leave, if that. If another department needs help after you have finished your work, you may be required to stay to help them finish. The pay did not match the workload. The work environment is extremely stressful and fast paced. Employees are expected to be continuously moving throughout the entirety of their shift. Your time is monitored down to the second. I would not recommend this job long-term.

Pros

If you like working overtime. The pay is great. Night shift supervisors are very good.

Cons

First shift. Almost everyone is Caucasian and they treat the African Americans very nasty. Most of the supervisors and team leads are very racist. They do not care about their employees whatsoever. The point system is absolutely terrible.

Pros

Depending on your department you can have an okay work-life balance.

Cons

Politics are in play at McKesson more than ever. It's who you know and how young you are! It does not matter about keeping your skillset updated and current, it's a no-win if you are in a certain age demographics! Internal interviews are a waste of time because it's only used to check off a box and give to a younger applicant often a person who is already on the team. Why not just promote?
