Low quality business leadership

Pros

Work life balance is decent and lots of ideas and new businesses to grow into.

Cons

Senior leadership is not aligned on major strategies and a lot of sell-it-first and we will figure out how we will deliver later. Lots of middle management, meaningless job titles that create confusion and challenges for roles and responsibilities clarity. Still operating like a small family owned business with little operational rigor, clarity on how to go from current to future state on big initiatives. Lots of reactive and inconsistent fits and starts of initiatives.

Pros

McKinstry seems to have something special about their hiring. Most employees are some of the kindest and smartest people I've met.

Cons

Departments other than construction and design are managed and run poorly. Inexperienced or flat-out incompetent mangers lead to high staff turnover.
