Pros

Everybody hates their job at some point, and there are places where people hate their job a lot more for a lot less pay. The difference with McMaster is that the pay and benefits are absolutely phenomenal, and you don't do any work when you're not inside the building.

Cons

If you're in the management development program ("MT"), there is nearly no training or structure set up for you to learn or be successful at the company. It's truly every man (or woman) for themselves. Worse than that, is that you never feel any ounce of job security. In fact, you know that you'll be fired or you'll quit before they get the chance because you know it's inevitable.

Pros

Pay, benefits, employee discount on all products is "at cost" price, discounts on shipping

Cons

No transferable skills, archaic software/ERP, no brand recognition for your resume, paternalistic and traditional-minded company culture and leadership, zero transparency
