Pros

You get to travel alot - see different places and work with new technology

Cons

You really are treated badly by management - You are just a means to an end. You may get to travel but often spend most of the day on a plane and are then expected to work a full day! Travelling time is not 'work' time so not paid. Also expenses are not paid very often so with alot of travelling you find your funds running out quickly and you can get in trouble for asking for these back early! - top tip for mechdyne - if you want people to pay in country for everything - give them a company credit card - Do not rely on their own funds as some have families to support!

Thank your for your review. Frequent positive feedback that we receive from teammates is the ability to travel and see different places around the world. With that being said, all teammates are compensated for travel time from the moment they leave for business travel until they reach their destination. Per Mechdyne's Travel Expense Policy, expenses are paid out twice a month as long as proper submittals and approvals have taken place for those needing reimbursed. We have made great improvements in communicating with candidate's during the interview process the realistic expectations of work hours, traveling, and what a typical work week at Mechdyne will be like. We are also consistently looking for ways to improve this process and welcome your feedback as to how this could be improved. Pros

The best and only reason to work here is that you learn a lot of skills really fast— you have to or you’ll fail. Otherwise, the pay is not on scale of workload, and the organization as a whole is terribly mismanaged. One of the “core values” is honesty and integrity, but they do not uphold that. Process is another core value, and their processes are a MESS— circular argument and just doing things for the sake of “it’s just the way it is here”

Cons

The 5 Star reviews are from HR. They are gaming the ratings because they can’t hire people due to the low compensation and the extensive (and time-wasting) hiring process. Teammates regularly disrespect people to their face, on virtual meetings, and do not follow established processes. It is a negative culture, and people that work here are spread so thin that they can’t get out. Diversity of thought, diversity of culture, color, and gender, is non existent. They do not create a welcoming experience for anyone outside of the “old white man” parameters.

Thank you for your feedback. There are a few mischaracterizations in your review that we feel compelled to address. We encourage honest feedback from all our teammates, firmly embracing the belief that feedback is a gift. We aim to foster a culture of transparent, genuine feedback at all levels. We avidly stand by our core values, which includes "Honesty and Integrity" as well as "Process." We understand that Honesty and Integrity are essential values that play a fundamental role in personal and professional lives for our teammates. Mechdyne embraces Process as it helps to enable our organization to deliver high-quality services to our clients, teammates, and partners. We encourage all of our teammates to challenge processes and embrace change as a way to grow. We are sorry to hear that you may have had an experience that led you to think differently. In regards to the workplace culture, we want to emphasize that we do not tolerate any form of disrespect, whether it's in-person or during virtual meetings. Our established processes are there to create a respectful and efficient work environment, and we take this matter seriously. If conflict occurs between teammates, we always encourage the issue to be relayed to a manager or HR who can then assist with navigating the occurrence and reiterate the importance of adherence to our processes and respectful behavior. As it relates to diversity and inclusion, we are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where all individuals, regardless of their background, are welcomed and valued. In fact, we recently invested in a program to help us identify areas to improve within this realm. Since then, we have implemented many suggestions the program identified within our organization. Finally, we are aware our hiring process is unique and an investment of a candidate's time. This is why we are transparent about our process from the very first step of our hiring process, where we allow candidates to decide if they'd like to continue in our process. It is of the utmost importance to us that Mechdyne be a place where the teammates we bring on board can flourish. We have rigorously vetted our hiring process to ensure that we do just that.
