Thank you for your review of Mechdyne on Glassdoor. We are sorry to hear that you had a negative experience. One of our core values is Process and it is something that we take a lot of pride in. The high level clients that we work for on a daily basis expect only the best service and, because of this, we create redundancy in our business models so that nothing gets “dropped” or missed. We can understand how this combination of Process and redundancy might feel like “micromanagement” to some teammates. However, we encourage all of our teammates to provide feedback during regular one on ones, team meetings, quarterly business review sessions and other feedback opportunities so that we may improve our systems. When the team provides ideas on improvements, we do our best to implement those into our operations so as to make for a better work environment for our teammates and clients alike. Career advancement at Mechdyne is based upon completion of a teammate’s Career Ladder. We utilize this system so as to ensure that all teammates have to work through the same set of steps in order to advance. This is in stark contrast to the “good ole boy system” where a teammate has to garner the favor of those making the promotion decisions. Our system isn’t perfect but, like our operations, we’re always looking for feedback from our team members on how we can make improvements. If you would like to talk more about any issues related to your personal situation, please feel free to reach out to us at feedback@mechdyne.com.

Pros

Not a bad job for starting out in your career. Travel us a bonus. Some managers are very good as well.

Cons

Pay is a bit low compared to other companies, raise that and you will get better employees applying and current will be more motivated. Also extremely long hours for no overtime for some employees is demeaning.

Pros

Lots of training, reliable schedule with opportunities for overtime, career growth potential, competitive compensation, profit sharing, good benefits. A company culture that cares about and counts on input from all employes. Executive leadership takes the time to meet with all new employees to get to know them and discuss company history, values, and culture.

Cons

Long hiring process (although they do a pretty good job of selecting good coworkers). Depending on your location or assignment the environment can be stressful.
