Pros

Amazing corporate culture that fosters creativity, team bonding, unlimited career advancement opportunities, fun work environment, cutting-edge technology, humble leadership, extremely competitive wages with uncapped commission potential, great work/life balance

Cons

I honestly can't think of any cons regarding Medicus other than the fact that I wish I would of found out about this company earlier in my professional career.

Pros

- Benefits are generous - Top Earners seem to do well - Nice sales folks in Denver office

Cons

I'll share my story and keep it brief - I was hired by Medicus as a Physician Recruiter in Denver. Medicus has a mandatory five-week training period in their East Coast HQ, which I endured for three weeks. The training program was elementary, geared towards those just out of college with no sales exp. Strong focus on personality training with little pitch training/refinement. They offer second-rate doctors to hospitals who are understaffed. Recruiters must call those docs at their hospitals of employment, pretending to be someone else until they are put through to a doctor... again, not the cream of the crop. When I began to question their sketchy prospecting methods and hyper-focus on personality training - I was shortly let go, with absolutely zero explanation - 2,000 miles away from home. This was a few months ago so this is not a passion post. I am extremely happy at my current place of employment. Medicus churns and burns employees. Trust me - Avoid.

Pros

Great organization that is looking to maximize your potential to help fuel both personal and organizational growth. The office atmosphere is friendly and adaptive to peoples' needs yet there is always a healthy dose of competition. Management objectives are always clearly articulated if not from the CEO then by another member of the management team. Innovation and suggestions are always welcomed and discussed through the use of open forums and idea generation emails in order to improve all areas of Medicus whether it be improving processes or suggesting a better idea to park cars during a snow storm. Every idea is discussed and has the capability to be implemented at a moment's notice. This leads to another great quality of Medicus which is their ability to adapt and change quickly. They are able to take calculated risks in order to help grow the business. This also works for their employees as well. They are able to create new roles for people within the organization if they see that an individual is talented. They also give ample opportunity for changing roles if you don't currently fit the role you are in. They appreciate both talented individuals as well as individuals that are a culture fit. They take into consideration both aspects and will try their hardest to retain you if possible. Medicus also has a strong initiative to help foster and build future leaders within the organization. Their MedU program is designed to educate potential leaders through case analysis in order to help build their leadership skills for the future. The company takes time to recognize top performers as well as people who go above and beyond what their role requires through awards which are given during monthly luncheons and cocktail hours. We routinely hold after work events in order to build relationships with our colleagues outside of work including going to baseball games, paint nights, 5k runs, trivia nights, etc. Medicus tries to foster an atmosphere of friendliness and helpfulness among its employees. We do value results at the end of the day, contributing to your team and company is a cornerstone to our company so be ready to work hard.

Cons

One of the biggest downsides to Medicus is the abundance of work. With any growing company, the amount you can grow is unbound and as a result leaves the door open to never-ending work. Medicus tries to balance productivity and hiring additional staff but frequently will favor increasing productivity of an individual to unsustainable amounts before they consider hiring the appropriate staff. The result is employees feeling burnt out after a while. The in-office activities they promote do help with trying to balance work/life balance and stress issues but more times than not people are bringing their work home with them, working on nights and weekends and feeling as though they can't put their work down. This constant need to be connected again burns out employees.
