Medicus is a great company to work for because one of its core values is employee-centricity. The work life balance is great, and the company puts a lot of resources into developing talent and rewarding employees for hard work. For fun, there are monthly cash bonuses available (no matter what department you are in), monthly luncheons and cocktail parties, and programs like Medicus Mingles that host monthly events on and off campus that promote strong work culture, camaraderie, and team-building. Its definitely a work-hard play-hard type of culture. As for development as an employee, there are great training programs across the board starting from day one, and the company tries its best to provide resources and opportunities for you to succeed. As for continued professional growth, they have programs like Medicus University that help develop internal talent for leadership positions down the road. Medicus is a growth company and you will have the opportunity to grow as well.

I came here with a background in healthcare staffing, and Medicus Healthcare Solutions stands head and shoulders above other companies in our industry. They support suggestions and initiatives for improvement from all employees, whether you just started working here or have been with the company for years. (The CEO once told me, “Management does not have a monopoly on good ideas,” and he stands by that statement every day.) The company provides great training, too, investing much in time and resources, and the sky’s the limit in terms of personal and professional growth. Also, Medicus is the only company in locum tenens staffing I know of that doesn’t require employees to sign a non-compete agreement. I admire this position so much because if someone comes here and it doesn’t turn out to be a good fit, that person can continue to work in this industry if he or she chooses to do so. This might seem like a minor thing to someone who hasn’t had to sign a non-compete before, but it’s huge and says a lot about the company, its philosophy, and treating everyone—including people who leave—with respect and kindness. Another practically unheard of thing that Medicus does is offer healthcare, dental, and PTO benefits from the first day on the job. Having that kind of coverage immediately is so awesome! Also, you’re able to enroll in the company’s 401(k) program after you’ve worked here for 30 days.
