Pros

There are so many benefits including the bonus, telecommuting, vacation and sick time, 11 1/2 holidays, 90% of health benefits are paid by Meditech, an annual bonus, retirement plan, can purchase company stock with quarterly dividends, adoption assistance, education assistance, annual company picnic and Christmas party, life insurance policy, 3k referral bonus, stipends, reward points, and laptop if you secure a travel position, free coffee and soda in the cafe, and $0.05 sodas from the machine, free tampons/pads in the women's room, maternity/paternity leave with a mother's room in each building, weight watchers discount and meetings at work, employee assistance programs (ie legal and financial). You get a gift basket sent to you when you get married or have a baby and you get a turkey, ham or lasagna before Christmas as an added bonus. You probably will not have to work long and crazy hours and they are flexible with your schedule due to family obligations.

Cons

They write their own internal tools and the system goes down periodically. When understaffed you have to take on the work of several people. They pay you once a month. Salaries should fall more in line with industry standards.

Pros

Great benefits. Yearly bonus. No layoffs.

Cons

The training overall Is sorely lacking. The supervisor's are generally young and although may know the software they have very few management skills in relation to supervising employees. There is no HR department.

Looks can be very misleading

Pros

The benefits are great and there is a good work life balance if you have kids. Other than that there are not any pros

Cons

No room for growth Only promote from within No Human Resources department No lay offs in 30 years but fire all the time I was very excited to start working at Meditech the grounds were beautiful great benefits and the recruiters do a great job selling the company to you. Unfortunately things quickly went down hill. While working here you are treated like a child. In order to get supplies you have to bring your badge to the supply room which is only open a half hour a day and get supplies which is logged to show what you take and when. A few times when I needed staples I had to promise I would share with the rest of my group before they were given to me. All of the buildings are completely silent despite the open floor plan. Nobody talks to each other. The only chatting going on in the building is gossip and bad mouthing. My supervisor had her clique of friends and only talked to them. She would not even say hi to the rest of the group. They would gather around her desk all day and have special privileges’ that others didn’t. Aside from the drama that rules this place (Anyone in a high ranking role has been here 30+ years so you can imagine the drama) the jobs themselves are boring and not challenging. You are given one small role and that is what you do. Learning new things is never promoted and when all your work is completed you have to pretend to be busy all day. I had friends who literally come to work day in and out without a single task to do despite asking for work. If you travel expect to front up all of the expenses there are no corporate cards. The expense group is so slow that you might have to wait 2 months to get your money back and be unable to travel on future trips because your cards are maxed out. Overall this is an ok place to work a year right out of college just to get something on your resume but no place for a long term career. The benefits are so great I wish I could stay but going to work unhappy everyday is no way to live.
