Pros

They have a fitness center, subsidize cafeteria purchases, financially strong.

Cons

First, beware of some of the good reviews. Read them very carefully. The recruiting department was posting phony high ratings to attract more candidates. They rely on the Wonderlic test for hiring. Do poorly on the test and they will pass you up...no matter how well you interview. No work life balance, no work from home opportunities, very micro managed from top down, very understaffed everywhere, reactive not proactive company, very tactical not strategic, salaries way under market in every division. My advice, run for the hills unless you want to be under paid, over managed, and not get a nice flexible environment to work in. Every year they post how well the company has done yet the ratio of compensation and benefits aren't equalized with the companies success. Ha, they still page people on an intercom system...what a joke.

Pros

At Medline you adapt to long hours at work. You learn that working hard and working smart are two very different things, they only vaule working hard. This place taught me how important culture is at a company and this was not a culture that many people enjoyed.

Cons

Medline has a long way to go go get to be a modern company. The infrastructure is lacking: no company credit cards, no cell phones are provided, they don't have a modern intranet, they have old technology and limited resources for employees. They also have no training for new employees to learn the business or job and leave people to their own devices. They have no company mission or vision and a very visible lack of leadership. People are expected to work long hours and are not allowed to work from home. They track the hours for salaried employees. There is low morale in the company. Overall this is not a nice place to work and not a good place to advance your knowledge.

Pros

There is nothing left of Medline Industries. Blackstone has put the company in debt, and the employees, the product quality, the patients, and the customers have paid for it.

Cons

Massive debt loads, shady managers and HR lowering income for employees paid to increase profits and revenue. 95% of the current employees are disgruntled and complain constantly. Most managers were never in sales and don't understand what drives the employees.
