Pros

Nice coworkers. Flexible hours. Nice place to get your foot in the door.

Cons

There is very little incentive to stay at this place of work. The existing, light-hearted culture I once knew quickly became shrouded in the harsh reality that no matter how many hours I put in, no matter how much I worked, I would not be recognized, promoted, or compensated fairly. I tried to talk to management directly about my concerns, trying to give them the benefit of the doubt every. single. time. I kept sane by telling myself I could still be proud of the work I put out. For this work, what was I met with? - Disappointment. 1.4% yearly raise? Cool. A 50$ bonus? Oh you have me sold! I wasn't taken seriously until I was already out the door. Medpace Medical Device is quickly gaining a bad reputation in the Twin Cities area, and I have a hard time feeling bad for them over it. Too many people have been left out to dry. I've since moved to a company who respects my wishes to grow, my determination to succeed, and my drive make this world a better place. I now know what it's like to work in an environment that appreciates me through and through. I honestly didn't think this was possible, as I was so disenfranchised upon leaving Medpace. Unless you are desperate for experience, I'd say it would be wise to avoid Medpace as your place of work.

Pros

They will take onboard not experienced people, as such workforce is cheaper and easier to recruit.

Cons

The philosophy of owner is to maximize profits and the only way to do it is to get as much as he can from people. No ethics, no respect, only money that counts. There is also a large bunch of friends employeed. If you become one of them good for you but it can shift fast as winds are changing all the time. They love changing people and fire a lot. Turnover is huge due to high workload itself, Do not count on promotions, bonuses are low.

Pros

People are nice but you can find good colleagues anywhere.

Cons

Not enough desks for all employees, short about 1k parking spots, no flexibility and rapidly decreasing work from home options. Positions that could be performed fully remote are required to come in more for zero reason. Most likely to fund the financially failing eatery. Have a sick child and need to WFH to take care of them? Too bad. Have a family member dying in the hospital and need to WFH? Sucks to be you. Have car issues and can't drive in but are still available to work remotely? That's your problem. Things used to be pretty good here with good moral. It's been downhill for a year and everyone is jumping ship. Probably because the CEO told everyone to leave in the quarterly meeting anyways. To top everything off, the bridge reconstruction causes everyone's commute to double in length. Any flexibility to help with parking or commute? Absolutely not.

Due to continued growth, we are in the midst of construction on our Cincinnati campus, which has temporarily created some parking stress. As a result, we have implemented a free off-site parking option for eligible employees. We have recently updated our remote work policy to support a culture of in-office collaboration and training of new associates. We feel that combined with our flexible scheduling, PTO packages including sick time, and occasional work from home time, that employees have flexibility in their work schedule to meet their personal needs.
