Pros

Free lunch, free workout facility, friendly employees and nice building.

Cons

This place is great to get your foot in the door in the research industry, however not a place to stay long term. You will always feel like you are being micromanaged, promised to work from home and a constant fear of being fired. Additionally, the CRA managers only want to protect their image even if it means doing wrong. The president of the company portrays an unwelcoming attitude in the quarterly meetings and the company uses scare tactics.

Pros

Compensation and benefits are good. If you work at the office there is a nice workout facility and free lunch. After training you are able to work from home.

Cons

The Manager's are not flexible, do not give honest feedback, talk negatively about employees/ position/ company, and expectations are unclear and be prepared to work long hours. Cannot bring new thoughts or ideas- they don't care to change.

The strangest corporate goodbye

Pros

I loved my colleagues and day-to-day work.

Cons

Leaders remind staff they are expendable. The CEO commented that AI can replace all but 2 people (himself + a researcher) at an all-staff meeting! To illustrate, I worked well, happily, and diligently for the last few years. But then, I received the weirdest and most abrupt “firing” before Medpace released quarterly financial results to the public. HR’s decision and reasoning seemed vague... my department peers were just as shocked and taken aback as me. I’ve since learned that other recently “fired” staff members had eerily similar experiences, leading us to speculate if it was a creative way for the company to avoid issuing public layoff notices.

Thank you for the review. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed working with your colleagues and your day-to-day work. Regarding your comment on 'big and sudden changes' we recently have made changes to our remote work policy to support an in-office collaborative environment, while still providing some flexibility for employees to meet personal needs.
