Medpace is proud to be able to provide discretionary bonuses and other incentive rewards in addition to standard salary to employees who meet or exceed performance expectations. We understand it can be very disappointing not to receive a desired bonus. However, minimum eligibility and performance standards apply to all employees here at Medpace and are reviewed during this process. We are also saddened to hear about your feelings toward our HR team. Our HR department strives to serve the employees of the organization and provide a collaborative environment where they can continue to grow and thrive within the organization. Any issues brought to HR are prioritized accordingly. More specifically, they are all reviewed, and then escalated as necessary. While we loved offering free lunch daily to our employees, we are complying with CDC guidelines and felt it best to close down the lunch buffet for the time being – a buffet doesn’t seem like a smart way to protect the health of our employees :) We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.

Pros

Was able to learn some new skills that could have been useful in my position. Free salad bar and daily food truck options (not free). There is work/life balance for hourly employee because you can't work over 40 hours per week.

Cons

Hourly positions seem to be considered as "lower class" - WFH decisions were made based on hourly or salary pay, regardless of health or ability to do the job from home - or trust us to make an informed decision based on our duties. Layoffs were handled in an unprofessional way. Call was made to me with access being cut off at the end of the call, not allowing me time to communicate with my department on where things stand. I have never heard from my manager but was told by a coworker that we were told of our elimination before our manager, which created a lot of work for the rest of the department to pick up without the ability of us to train them on anything.

Thank you for leaving a review. We are sorry to hear your thoughts on the organization, but assure you that we value our employees and the great success they bring to Medpace. In this uncertain time of COVID-19, Medpace, like a lot of businesses, has had to make some very difficult decisions. Although we had maintained our full workforce with full pay for the initial weeks of Ohio’s lockdown order, despite the fact that many of our positions cannot be performed if our campus is not open, unfortunately this is not a sustainable long-term option. It was a very difficult decision to release some of our on-campus staff, and we hope that the severance packages offered to them will help in part to sustain during a difficult economic time for everyone. We certainly understand the frustration and anxiety everyone has felt in this difficult time and we are confident that by working together we will get through this. We are starting to operate “business as usual” and are confident we will be able to continue our growth as the year continues. We wish you well in your future career.

Free lunch. Free lap tops after 6 months

Cons

Whistleblowers will be fired. They’re is not safe route for reporting company wrong doing. If you must report something make sure to get a lawyer. They company can’t be trusted

Any issues brought to HR are a priority. They are all reviewed, and then escalated as necessary. We are always willing to address specific concerns and also make it clear that we will escalate depending on the specific concern. Medpace prides itself on being a good corporate citizen. We abide by a corporate code of conduct which is published to all employees for annual training including the appropriate paths for escalating concerns both internally and externally. It is apparent Medpace was not a fit for you, but we appreciate your feedback.
