While we are glad that you have enjoyed the travel perks and the friends you have made during your time with Medpace, we are taken aback by some of your other comments. We can assure you that we do consistently evaluate compensation and benefits on an annual basis. We have a designated team that reviews benchmarks to ensure we are constantly aligned with the market and remain competitive in the industry. We recognize that we’re going through a major growth period at this time. While it’s an exciting time for the company, we recognize growing pains are present and are working hard to bring great new employees to the company. We encourage employees to work with their manager if they have any concerns with their current workload. Additionally, Medpace does not promote any behavior that may create a toxic working environment. If you have specific concerns, we recommend that you reach out directly to your HR representative to be sure that we can provide you the support you may need in addressing these concerns. Medpace strives to ensure that all employees feel valued and conduct their work in a healthy environment.

Pros

Free lunch and drinks (non alcoholic of course), nice workout facility, and fun activities for employees.

Cons

For being such a big company with so much success and growth they do not show this with their pay. Not even a cost of living raise and no bonuses if you haven't been there over a year.

Thank you for leaving a review. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the on-site perks Medpace has to offer at our Cincinnati facility. We want all of our employees to succeed and have career paths in place in order to provide endless amounts of opportunity for growth. We hold evaluations twice per year at Medpace and do offer the opportunity for merit and bonus annually. Merit increases are based upon minimum eligibility requirements as well as performance standards. All of these are taken into consideration when determining increases. Promotional periods also are available every quarter and we constantly encourage and promote development of employees from within the organization. We regularly review our compensation, benefits, and hiring practices to ensure we are being competitive within our industry. Thank you!

Always in Fear of being fired

Pros

There really weren’t a ton of pros to be honest. One positive thing is they hire unexperienced & let you get your foot in the door. You build bonds with coworkers since you all hate the place and dread every day. Most CTMs I had were nice.

Cons

I left the company for a new CRA position and it’s truly mind boggling how horrible of a CRO Medpace is. The pay is actually laughable. I make more at a level one position now than a Sr. CRA made at Medpace. I’m convinced they critique and work on PACE so much due to them knowing they’re always going to have a high turnover rate due to how atrocious the pay is. Not only do they have a high turnover rate due to people voluntarily leaving, be on the lookout for randomly getting fired for (what seems to be) no reason at all. Didn’t happen to me but to plenty colleagues. Most conveniently happen in February right before the annual bonuses go out, so that’s pretty gross. The systems (IVRS & EDC) are incredibly outdated. They look like they haven’t received updates since early 2000s. Nothing feels streamlined. All-in-all, don’t work here unless you absolutely need a job and want to get your foot in the door of clinical research. I was incredibly stressed all the time by the miserably low pay and the toxic work environment.

Thank you for leaving a review. Although we are disappointed to hear that you had a negative experience within the organization, we understand that the high standards to which we ask our employees to excel at are not for everyone. This is what we believe distinguishes us from other CROs. We work hard to ensure we are place that attracts employees not just for the short term, but are a place that our associates can grow in their career. With our CRAs in particular we reward them not just with base compensation but with an opportunity to earn significant additional compensation tied directly to their travel and performance as well as the opportunity to earn Medpace equity awards very early in their career. We are extremely proud of the diverse culture we promote here at Medpace. We value employees from all different backgrounds and believe that contributes to much of our success. We love to bring in individuals with no experience to train them up in the industry and give them an opportunity to continue advancing. Contrary to your comments, we consistently work with our Compensation and Benefits team to review salary and benchmarks to assure we are aligned with the market while also being competitive in the industry. We do acknowledge that Medpace is not a fit for everyone, and we are okay with that. Every employee has different needs, and it is unrealistic to think we can meet all of them. However, we always try our best to make every employee feel valued and satisfied in their position at the organization. We encourage all employees to address concerns with their manager or HR representative while employed with us so we can try to fix any issues that may arise. It is apparent that Medpace was not the best fit for you, but we wish you luck in your future endeavors.
