Pros

The CRA training program is thorough and prepares you to be a CRA. Most of the other employees are nice to work with. I have heard that other departments are much better to work in.

Cons

I would give this company a 2.5/5 if I could, but since it’s whole numbers, I’m rounding down. -There is so much nepotism through the company that needs to be addressed. -Your entire experience as a CRA is almost completely based on your manager which can be great or horrible -the workload can be overwhelming and if your manager is not receptive to his or her employees, you will be on your own to figure it out -some of the managers will watch your status to see if you are away from your desk for more than 5 minutes. -starting pay is low for industry standards -people get fired all the time and it’s really stressful watching your coworkers get perp-walked out of the building constantly

Thank you for the review, although we are saddened by your view of Medpace. As an organization, we do not accept any form of discrimination or nepotism and encourage any employees to bring these complaints to Human Resources. We are experiencing a major growth period. While it’s an exciting time for the company, with that comes growing pains and we are working hard to bring great new employees to the company to help alleviate workload pressures. Additionally, we grew by nearly 25% last year and while there are many new faces, this does not necessarily represent turnover. We are sorry Medpace was not a fit for you but we wish you well in your future endeavors.

Pros

The horrible working environment really pushes you to get to know your colleagues and become friends with them. Better to be miserable with company than alone. Everyone wants to leave and talks about it together, at least you can laugh about it.

Cons

- Racist: multiple episode reported of higher ups and team members being blatantly racist during calls and meetings. NOTHING was done and you’d be told it is “a different argument to tackle” - long hours: multiple days a week and every month where you stay until 22, a normal work day would be 9-19 at the very least. Team is greatly US based and they don’t really care about your time. Worse than that, management would proudly say “if you want to work a 9-5 this is not the place for you” - pay is low and progression is even lower: sketchy to say the least. Promised raises and bonuses that would be “confirmed” but never received or randomly decreased. All of this whole being told “this is the highest raise I’ve seen” but it’s below inflation and industry standard - no progression: you can get your evaluation near to perfect but progression is linked to time spent at the company so there is no incentive to work harder - culture: “we do it best” attitude mixed with “the old way is the way” and “we are a family” that translates to you will be overworked, no one will remember your name and we don’t care about process improvement. No flexibility: job can be done while working from home, yet wfh is frowned upon. No benefits in being in the office, the “big offering” is a drink or a snack on Tuesday from the trolley (important that is either of them and not both, people were scolded for taking two) Horrible place for diversity and inclusion, not safe for POC and LGBTQ+ people, they don’t care about you and won’t listen to you

We are saddened by your view of Medpace. We are extremely proud of the diverse culture we promote here and we value employees from all different backgrounds. We believe that an inclusive environment contributes to our success. As we encourage all employees to escalate any of these very serious concerns to their supervisor and Human Resources for immediate investigation and resolution, we invite you to contact our London or Cincinnati (Corporate) HR Department to discuss your concerns further. It is true that we expect a great deal from our employees and are experiencing a major growth period. While it’s an exciting time for the company we are also working hard to bring great new employees to the company to help alleviate workload pressures. Regarding compensation, we have a designated team that regularly reviews our compensation and benefits to ensure we are being competitive within our industry. We recognize we cannot please everyone, and we do our best to provide an environment where our employees feel challenged, motivated, valued, and encouraged to advance.
