Pros

money... but is it worth it to be working in such a toxic environment?

Cons

I had to work in the scary environment of mostly white employees. I had to listen and survive all of the microaggressions. I only survived because of a handful of people that weren't racist. Here are some direct quotes from upper management said right in front of me: Context: on a phone call from one of our sponsors based in China "If you can't pronounce their name, they're probably very smart" After call ended "I couldn't understand at all, all I heard was ching chong" As a person of color, I was disgusted. Lastly, they really get you with the "free lunches" it's just different types of salad... which were also pretty racist? Asian salad was salad with mandarin oranges...

Pros

Free Lunch. Interesting work assignments. Robust training

Cons

Overworked, underpaid...which would be OK for entry level if the team culture was not so brutal. Bait and switch on bonus/travel structure. Also, the salad bar might give you the runs

Thank you for leaving a review. Although we are disappointed to hear that you had a negative experience within the organization, we understand that the high standards to which we ask our employees to excel at are not for everyone. This is what we believe distinguishes us from other CROs. We work hard to ensure we are place that attracts employees not just for the short term, but are a place that our associates can grow in their career. As you mentioned, we are extremely proud of our CRA training program (PACE) and have seen incredible success and collaboration it provides between our CRAs and management. We work very hard to ensure we have a collaborate culture here at Medpace and are sorry to hear you had a poor experience. We do encourage all employees to talk to their supervisor or HR representative should they have any issues. It is apparent Medpace was not the best fit for you, but wish you well in your future endeavors.

Pros

Modern facility, nice bathrooms, time flexibility, PTO, great friendships made through result of common ground complaints.

Cons

To Everyone:: Medpace tries to trap you with a non-compete agreement to not allow you work at any other CROs for a year after leaving the company, even if they are the ones to let you go! Take precaution! To my CRAs:: Medpace does not disclose to CRAs (or at least did not while I was employed) that their first months with the company is a trial-run to determine if you are good enough to stay with the company. They do not take into account whether their prospect would have been moving across the country to work there.. Take precaution! Terrible upper management, lack of opportunity for growth, management intentionally does not set you up for growth within the company (although they promote it at your interview), overworked and underpaid, the higher up you are in management, the less engagement there is with “the help”, under-appreciated is an understatement, all the CEO cares about is pleasing his shareholders (and you will hear about it in all of his 15 minute “quarterly staff meetings”.. HA what a joke!), no one is welcoming to the company, everyone keeps their heads down and tries not to make eye contact so they don’t have to speak (so backwards), you will eventually dread going to work, No one cares about your complaints because the complaint is not new and just gets thrown into the million-complaint bucket that Medpace has had for years! If you still decide to work for this company, just get your feet wet, absorb all of the experience that they allow you to get (because they indirectly control that too), and then GET OUT!
