Pros

They're really nice to you...at first. They make you feel welcome. There are office dogs.

Cons

All niceness and making you feel welcome is a smokescreen. Once you're there, the unrealistic work expectations surface. You're asked to do 16 hours of work in 8 hours, with little to no guidance or assistance. Can't do it? Well, let's have a meeting (they have so many useless meetings, the company name is essentially a threat), and at that meeting, they'll ever so politely tell you how great they think you are, but...BUT. You'll try to explain that you're doing all you can, and that maybe they should hire more people if they want more work to get done, but they'll ignore that sensible advice. Oh, I almost forgot to admit the unsafe work conditions in the warehouse, and the hostile hetero white male culture that dominates that warehouse, especially among management and supervisors.

I want to first thank you for your thoughtful feedback and say I'm sorry you didn't have a positive experience at MT. Some of the issues you bring up around safety and a hostile culture have not come up before and are concerning. If you're comfortable with it, I'd like to hear more about your concerns so we can see what can be done. I can be reached at 773-754-3032 or rachelk@meetingtomorrow.com to set up a time to talk. Thank you for the work you put in during your time at MT and for your feedback. Rachel Kenis HR Director

Pros

Overall, I had a really good experience at Meeting Tomorrow. I didn't have much work experience but they hired me as a warehouse temp and ended up bringing me back for a few months to work in other department that were more suited to my skills. They are willing to experiment and move people are to see what fits best for them, and I think Rachel, the HR manager, does an incredible job of paying attention to people, their skills, and what they have to say about their experiences. There are a number of really competent people and a few people who love their jobs, which means the company functions well and has a generally positive vibe day-to-day. But most important to me was the feeling of being recognized and valued for my skills and personality in a way that felt authentic.

Cons

The company is in an industry that I never intended to have a career in, and I still don't plan to, so that's the context for my opinions. This may be splitting hairs, but because there's such an emphasis on being friendly and enthusiastic, it can be exhausting for a person for whom that doesn't come naturally. If you just want to show up at work and do your job, you can, but you may feel unfriendly. Other reviews also mention that there's limited opportunity for advancement, which is maybe true, but it was never my intention to advance. It's a good place to work if you don't have much experience, need a temporary job to hold you over, or you want to acquire some professional skills and try out some new things. It's a place that emphasizes the process of the work and feeling fulfilled day-to-day more than making a lot of money right away (although I'd imagine the salespeople do pretty well for themselves).

Pros

The company values are Kindness, Comittment and Humility---and almost everything about MT reflects this. Great benefits, 401k match, free Diivy membership, tons of little clubs (community service, fitness, community garden, etc), amazing culture, hard work is recognized and rewarded, strong growth but not overwhelming, progressive and innovative.

Cons

Live events are stressful, top-level team means you really have to shine to advance, very picky on hiring, have to work hard
