Pros

-Pretty decent employee disconut -Pay is at least above minimum wage (in most states, to my knowledge) -Custom made suits are pretty dope -Co-workers are pretty chill and make the slow days fun (usually)

Cons

-There's an obvious superiority complex in most of the store managers I've met. "Do as I say, not as I do" type of thing. -Too much gets swept under a rug. -Since they bought Jos. A. Bank, a company that was in debt, budget cuts have been made. I haven't been around for the "good ol' days" of this company, but it's still very clear with how they try to cut hours. -In a similar train of thought, the pay is mediocre. Even managers complain about being underpaid. The best part? Even though the pay istechnically above minimum wage, it's only barely survivable at best. -No clear path for upward mobility. -Despite hour cuts, it's still a pain to have a life outside of work at most locations.

Pros

Great co-workers Great long time multi-unit manager PMDA

Cons

-Base pay for commission employees has not changed from 5 dollars in 20 years! -Company has lowered commission percentages multiple times -What was once a great company that really instilled value and appreciation for its employees now only cares about its shareholders -Employees are continually forced to bear the cost of its idiotic decision to purchase Jo Banks while corporate leaders give themselves raises -Slowly eroding perks and benefits -No longer has any events for it's employees (holiday party, 4th of july picnic, suits University) -Retail Hours which of course are terrible -Tuxedo rentals which EVERYONE hates and if you work on commission you make absolutely nothing -I make much less here than I did 10 years ago - prices. You get a 55% discount but when the majority of the suits are $700 its still difficult for many employees that make $10 an hour

Pros

Working at Men’s Wearhouse absolutely let me grow from a part time customer service associate into a full time Formalwear Manager. I loved the mix of administrative work and customer interaction. Pto time was great, but there was never a good time to take it because stores usually ran on Skelton crews. They offered Health, Vision and Dental plans along with Perks at Work which was a employee discount system. The company culture was great and the types of people in stores is great. I loved my crew and never dreaded going to work.

Cons

I left because I found my self working 45+ a week and this took me away from my family and friends. I wanted to grow professionally with another company which is why I left but I still work part time because the company culture in the stores is some of the best!
