Pros

Multi unit management structure is sound, its not to huge that you don't know who to contact and your questions don't get lost in some unending upper management pyramid. Its also not to small that things don't get done because they have no time for you.

Cons

Redundancy... so much redundancy. Bad hours, in retail you have no life but the job. George, our founder, is gone. They expect you to do most of your required out reach work on your own time. Do not give access to the internet to help facilitate contacting schools etc for prom sales opportunities, etc.

Pros

The customers were by far the greatest thing about my job! I was the top producing consultant in my store as well as the region. I had a loyal base of customers that came to see me repeatedly, and they made the job worth it.

Cons

Very ‘click’ based store culture. You’re either in, or you’re out....and that’s all there is to it. If you don’t perform good enough, they find a way to fire you. Watched it happen to others. If you’re too good, which I didn’t know was even possible, then it’s like a viper pit! Even so much as sneeze the wrong way, you’re fired. Like, where is George at? Somebody should look him up and give him his job back! The company, financially speaking, is taking a nose dive...FAST!

Pros

Once the founder George Zimmer was ousted from the company in 2013 this company has progressively gone down hill. It is no longer the company I joined and loved. There are zero positive things left to say about this company.

Cons

Every person with an ounce of power is apart of a great big club of privilege and living in total denial that this company isn’t worth saving. Stay there long enough and you will find out that the rules (what few there are) are not enforced equally amongst the staff and any concerns you voice will go unheard or you will be rebuked for having the nerve to speak out. If you want to be belittled by people with a grade school education, who only have power because they’ve brown nosed their entire career, then go ahead and apply.
