Pros

International exposure, opportunity to see many of the Daimler locations worldwide. Exposure at higher levels of management. High level of autonomy with regards to scope of your individual 15-18 month CAReer program. Opportunity to learn several different fields & functions, a rare opportunity to experience various jobs in order to see what you enjoy/dislike or find a talent you didn't know you possessed/lacked. Great opportunities for networking within Daimler by meeting so many trainees from around the world.

Cons

High amount of travel could be inconvenient for some. Pay is not as high as at some companies, especially coming out of business school (however what you lack in pay you get in international experiences/travel & the opportunity to try multiple job functions). The position is theoretically a fast track to a management position with higher pay, if you don't make manager though your salary will remain low.

Pros

Great benefits, job security (they won't fire you unless you're completely useless), promising industry outlook. Management strives to communicate with their employees. Admirable effort to create non hierarchical culture in a very big organization.

Cons

Work culture has a long, long way to go. The company strives to "embracediversity" but the status quo is still white fuckboy's heaven. Reported harassment issues and only got retaliation. They don't understand how to resolve work conflicts nor embrace people who aren't white males. Low performing people take decades to be removed because that's the company philosophy. Could be a good thing, but often a source of frustration. Opportunities may not go to the people who deserve the most. Like any other organizations, politics is ugly. Management is pretty closed despite their effort to communicate. There's an unsaid rule of bringing only the young people up to the management.

Pros

Flexible work arrangements, great work life balance, casual dress code, work from home options, excellent employee lease program, Great bonus structure, matching 401k and excellent corporate culture. It truly is an excellent place to work! Employees are knowledgeable and actually pull their weight when it comes to getting the job done. The effort put into diversity and inclusion far surpasses any organization I have ever been a part of. This is the type of company people start at and never leave. It’s not uncommon for people to have been there 20, 30, 40+ years so there is a lot mentorship opportunities and long term stability here. I have had interview offers from competitors in the area such as GM and Ford which in the past would have been dream jobs. However, I have turned them down because I know this is as good as it gets!

Cons

I really can’t think of any, but glassdoor requires a 20 word minimum in this field. So I’ll say it again, no cons even when trying to come up with something!
