Pros

Decent pay for the way the economy is right now, great benefits.

Cons

More work is given to you in a day that is possible to complete. In other words, expect 10-12 hours of work to be completed in 8 hours. Expect to have to lie to people, so if you are ethical this is not the place to work.

Pros

Benefits are alright, and the initial training for claims employees is stellar. When I was there it was a good bunch of people to work with.

Cons

Camaraderie among coworkers is built upon how much everyone hates their job. That's somewhat of a claims thing anyway. The company is built around everyone trying to protect their job, so don't expect too many people above you to go to bat for you if you ever need it.

Pros

Mercury is a great company to work for. I applied at monster.com, completed a phone interview, took a skills test, was interviewed, and hired all in less than a month. The process is not a tedious one. They offer a business casual dress code, great benefits, and opportunities for advancement. I was impressed with the Christmas bonus which is equal to one paycheck.

Cons

The company is transitioning to a new paperless software system and some locations have not begun that transition yet. This means you could be expected to learn one software program only to have it replaced by another one in the future.
