One can work from home, anywhere in the contiguous United States.

Cons

You will work extremely long hours, if you are not an hourly employee. Mercury is very inefficient in how they administrate claims. The lower payscale has caused some very good people to leave; the metrics are not based on a well handled claim, but for justifying an auditing position.

very simple, you fill out the same form all day or provide contact information to callers and defer any issues to the adjusters. You sometimes have time in-between calls for personal use.

Cons

you fill out the same form all day, everyday. Sometimes customers are very upset because of the cause of the insurance claim or because insurance sucks and takes forever and no one knows how insurance works so they expect things to happen immediately.
