Pros

-Friendly teammates -Helping an under served community -Average salary for area -Above average healthcare benefits -Free parking

Cons

-Department was not run in an efficient way. Job responsibilities included things that could be completed by techs or PCAs. -Several of the allied health departments in the Youngstown market do not have support staff such as administrative assistants. Providers are responsible for returning patient calls, scheduling patient appointments, completing prior authorization paperwork, and everything else administrative assistants would normally take care of. -“That’s the way we’ve always done it” mentality. -No room for career growth or professional development. No support for continuing education unless you’re a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant. -Was not proud of the care provided at the location I worked at.
