Management constantly piles more and more work onto your duties without even considering increasing compensation. We were without a manager for a year, during that time I was asked to take on quite a few of the responsibilities. I had documentation of all the tasks I was doing on top of my surgery scheduling role and used that to ask for an increase in pay. I was immediately told no and they wouldn’t even consider it.

Middle and upper management struggle to keep their word, they are stretched thin. MercyOne controls the budget and Iowa Heart staff pay, not your management. Equipment and gear is old and out of date in outreach offices compared to Main Office and Hospitals Pay is suboptimal compared to other metro locations.
