Pros

MercyOne has A LOT of work to do before I can say anything positive about them.

Cons

Employees are overworked and under appreciated. Additional work is thrown on high performers instead of just hiring additional staff, because they are financially unstable. Management dismisses feedback and will throw their own work on the people that report to them. Benefits and pay are terrible, especially for the stress and scrutiny you are under here. Leaving was the best decision, and I encourage others to do the same or steer clear of MercyOne as an employer.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. Feedback regarding workload, recognition, leadership involvement, and compensation is taken seriously and helps guide our ongoing improvement efforts. Healthcare work is complex and demanding, and we know there is always room to better support our teams. We appreciate your contributions and wish you success in the future.

Pros

MercyOne is starting to pay their employees a competitive pay rate. They seem like to they are trying to implement ways to improve morale it's just a little to late for some employees.

Cons

Day shift is very hostile work environment, they do not like new people, people you work with are negative and judgemental. The X-ray job itself there is fine, if you can get over working around a negative hostile environment.

Pros

I can't say enough about how fantastic MercyOne is! Having received incredible medical care here since I was a child, it’s amazing to now be part of the team as an adult. The support I’ve received has truly changed exceeded my expectations in the workplace. One of the best things about working here is the amazing work-life balance. The hybrid schedule allows me flexibility for my work and personal commitments. It’s refreshing to work in an environment where my well-being is prioritized. My colleagues are incredibly supportive, and I never feel dumb when I ask questions; instead, I’m met with encouragement and helpful advice. It’s a place where learning is encouraged, and everyone is invested in each other’s growth. Overall, I feel truly grateful to be part of such an outstanding organization. MercyOne is more than just a workplace; it’s a community that genuinely cares about its people.

Cons

99% of Trinity's benefits are amazing! The only one I have an issue with is Optum RX for our prescriptions. It can take a lot of phone calls back and forth from the doctor and Optum to figure out the mail ordering system Optum insists on. If Trinity could just add our prescription coverage to our health insurance, I would consider 100% of our benefits to be amazing!
