Pros

A great work/life balance, you really get to leave work at work. The culture is unlike anything I've seen before. There's so much creativity and uniqueness throughout the office; Food all the time and options galore; Executive Management knows you by name; Work hard, play hard by definition. Endless learning and mentoring opportunities which really grows you as an individual and professional. Everyone has an open door policy.

Cons

It's always busy, but it's technology so is that necessarily a bad thing? Somewhat below the curve in salaries but puts forth effort to make up for it in other ways.

Pros

-Strong company culture and feels like a family -Senior management is dedicated to the company -Several team building events and competitions that get a lot of people involved -Good healthcare/dental/vision package -Work/life balance is excellent; you are not expected to stay overtime or take anything home with you -The people work very hard and want to help others on their team succeed -We value our clients tremendously and work hard to keep them -Certain teams are great to be on with meaningful work and managers who listen to your concerns and help solve problems

Cons

-Salary below industry standard (especially with cost of living) despite management's claims. Look at Glassdoor to make up your own mind -Limited vacation (2 week PTO, 3 week after 5 years) -Good strategy and vision need to be set and actually followed -Values need to come from this strategy and vision, not the other way around -Office politics between departments often delays projects and potentially outright kills them -Putting out fires or kicking the can down the road is far more frequent than solving underlying problems

Glassdoor can provide good information, but it isn't a salary tool. People self-report and may inflate their salaries in hopes of driving up the published salaries for their positions. To my knowledge, there is no verification done on what's reported. (I have seen salaries posted for ML for a location we never had.) ML pays for a salary tool that tells us actual salaries being paid by level/seniority. We can also see salaries for our geographic area versus the bay area, for example. This assists us in paying our employees fairly. There are companies that pay less than ML, and companies that pay more. Job searchers need to evaluate salary along with work/life balance, travel requirements, company stability, location, and a host of other criteria that's important to them. We appreciate your comments, and will consider them as we continually improve!
