Pros

- Drama-free work environment. - Competitive salary and bonuses. - Many social events (holiday events, monthly lunches, annual events). - No micro-management of employees. - Variety of positions allow for horizontal transfers if you're looking for more experience in the industry; you can stay at the company but still learn entirely different aspects of the business. - Work is such that when I leave for the day, I don't have to think about any work-related things 99% of the time. - 10 days PTO, increases to 15 after 5 years; plus sick days. Also very easy to get time off (i.e. you actually get to use your vacation days on the days you want to use them on).

Cons

- No matching 401k. - Lack of employee development programs. Though, it appears the company is making progress in this area with the on-boarding of an experienced HR person who has already implemented some things. - Cross-departmental communication could be better.

Thank you for your thoughtful evaluation of life at MeridianLink. We really appreciate your feedback, and that you recognize and are taking advantage of the positive changes our new HR leader is rolling out. Part of the 2016 plan is to offer product training to employees who may not have a strong understanding of our products/clients/industry across product lines. We also plan to make information about the different roles at the company more accessible. Employees are encouraged to talk to their managers and the HR/Recruiting team about other positions in which they may be interested. We're glad you like working here, and hope we can continue to grow together for many years to come!

Pros

Met some great people here. Nice office / working conditions. Hardly any after hours work, your time is yours. I put a high value on this.

Cons

Two weeks PTO. No matching 401k. No Work from home capability. Lower-end salaries, one small raise with 3 years of work. No attempt at employee retention, let a lot of great talent leave. Absolutely no communication or guidance from anyone higher than your immediate supervisor. This is something I just could absolutely not understand and had me very puzzled. This always made the company feel so divided. Inter-department communication was often much more difficult than it needed to be, at expense to both the customer and employee's time. There was no growth, learning opportunities, or any clear line of progression. It was promised, but seemed limited to only a select few people. The follow-through was not there. The work always seems to be about finding the quickest solution instead of implementing a more extensive and future-proof system. For example its much more of a "throw more bodies at it" company. And anyone that tried to make REAL pushes against the normal were actually met with more promises or even a negative response. This was the point I realized this company would not change anytime soon, which is very unfortunate, I was so sad to come to this realization because most of the people here are so great. The focus was on quantity, not quality. Make sure you meet your metrics!! I acknowledge it is a growing company so it is possible things will or have changed.

Thank you for taking time to share your perceptions of MeridianLink. We’re glad you found the people and the working conditions agreeable, and you valued the work/life balance that exists here. The benefits we offer include two weeks of vacation, plus another week if needed for illness, plus 10 holidays of which two are floating, for a total of five weeks of paid time off. After 5 years of service, employees are given an additional week of vacation. Our salaries are competitive, and performance reviews (and merit pay increases if earned) are annual. Our total compensation package is actually under revision, and we expect to have 401K matching in the near future. MeridianLink has taken great steps in 2015 to further company-wide communications, formalize career growth opportunities for all teams, provide learning opportunities, and foster team spirit. Some examples are: creation of the MeridianLink Toastmasters, creation of the ML Book Club, Halloween pumpkin carving contest and costume contest, executive level emails to all employees, a monthly company newsletter, employee development classes, standardization of job descriptions and career matrices, a website revamping project (underway), and lots of other initiatives. Also, we’ve had 10 employees promoted into management roles so far in 2015, and see continuing opportunities for career growth. We have an open door policy to all levels of management, and employees are welcome to talk to anyone in management in addition to their immediate supervisor. We get great ideas from our talented employees, and want to hear their suggestions! We agree with you about investing in our employees and communicating with them. Hopefully, you can see how the examples mentioned above show that we do just that. Thanks again for your comments. We appreciate any feedback that can help us improve even more.
