Pros

Working with a few of the other reps and the flexibility to have a great work /life balance.

Cons

They bring you in to drain your close contacts and then toss you aside.

Pros

Complete flexibility and control over the hours that you work.

Cons

As a new hire, you only get a "base salary" for the first 6 months you work there. After that, you move to 100% commissions. This makes it VERY difficult for new advisors to actually get their business up and running, forcing a lot of people to have to find employment elsewhere.

Pros

Once licensed and registered you would be given leads from specific marketing campaigns. Management was supportive and available but not too overbearing..

Cons

Getting business through was very difficult and internal metlife support was hit or miss with getting the assistance you needed. Constantly having the structure of the retail division changed was extremely disruptive and made a difficult job that much harder.
