Proud to work within the MetroHealth System for 18+ years
Pros
MetroHealth is guided by a mission that puts care of patients and community above all else. The culture is to put patients first and there is a new thrust to address social determinants of health and improving the community surrounding the MetroHealth Medical Center. There is gratitude and respect for employees- particularly notable in the COVID19 pandemic- in which a pay raise was given when other systems were laying off employees. As an employee within the system, I've felt that my safety in regards to COVID19 was of utmost importance. I'm grateful to work at MHS.
Cons
Some of the facilities are dated and show their age, though a new hospital is being constructed. The MetroHealth System is underrated due to smaller marketing budget compared to other Cleveland healthcare systems.
