      Pros

      I was looking for something more than a job. I found that at MetroHealth. Every single individual I’ve interacted with since coming to this institution is here for the right reason: the desire to improve the health and well-being of our community. It might not have the panache of the other health systems in town, but the heart of this institution is unrivaled. Also, the benefits are strong and the compensation is competitive.

      Cons

      Some of the facilities and technology are dated, but MetroHealth is building a brand-new hospital that will rival any health care facility. It's an exciting time to work at MetroHealth because of the potential that's being unlocked.

      Amazing Place for MLT

      Pros

      The hospital mission is great and precisely the kind of place I want to spend my career. Pay is great for MLT, okay for MLS Sick time rolls over and never expires Pension, retirement options, and health coverage is very competitive. Union!!!!

      Cons

      Vacation time is fairly weak. 24 years needed to get to 5 weeks paid vacation which is way more than it should be. Start off with 2 weeks your first 5 years which is pretty standard, but it takes a lot of years of service to go above 3 weeks(18 for 4 weeks I believe). Healthcare is demanding, we should have more time off. The lab is very old, and equipment needs to be updated. Hopefully with the new hospital this changes.
