      Pros

      MetroHealth has recruited top doctors, nurses, and professionals who work together as a team for the patients. We work hard but everyone helps everyone else. Great salary, thanksgiving food cards ($25) for EVERY employee. Looking forward to a new hospital in 2021.

      Cons

      Expansion to Parma, Cleveland Heights, Bedford, and Brecksville strained staff for the first few months. Now things are much better with almost 500 new employees recruited last year.

      - great benefits and retirement - great pay

      Cons

      - has become more concerned with money which is affecting patient care in a negative way - poor morale among employees due to lack of staff (which also affects patient care)

      Pros

      I stared with this company 13 years ago. Back then, larger hospital systems in the area were offering sign on bonuses and gifts to come work in their organizations. A wise nursing instructor advised I not overlook what Metrohealth has to offer. OPERS, Affordable benefits, growth opportunities. I can honestly say, I plan to retire from this organization. This hospital also invests in staff. Education reimbursement and scholarships are frequently offered. Pay is comparable, if not higher than other area hospitals.

      Cons

      Like with any organization - there is always room for improvement. I would like to see greater investment in facilities - especially at main campus. Not just building new buildings but maybe increasing house keeping staff visibility. Clean the carpets frequently, etc.
