Diverse Workforce

Pros

The workforce at Metroplus mirrors the population it serves. All employees are eligible for training and some are eligible for Management and Leadership Training and Coaching. The Customer Service operations are superb. The CEO is a kind, caring person who knows the name of every employee. The door is open to everyone.

Cons

This is a non-profit organization with a strong dotted line to NYC Health and Hospital Corporation. The culture is bureaucratic and family-like. This creates a strong mixed-message to employees.
