Pros

There are a lot of companies that pride themselves on being “the next big thing” but Metromile is a true disrupter. Our product is unique, groundbreaking and solid. It makes coming to work exciting every day, and collaborating with an awesome and inspiring group of people is icing on the cake.

Cons

Although we are rapidly growing, we are still a startup, so things change quickly and you have to be willing to adapt. Also need to be OK with getting your hands dirty.

Pros

I've been here about a year and a half now. Pros - You get to work on some really intricate, challenging problems. - The people you work with are super smart, dedicated, and driven. They'll make your work better. - No egos, no big politics. - You will get to be part of something exciting - changing insurance through awesome technology. - All functional areas have an impact. Not just engineering, or marketing, or product. - Good benefits!

Cons

- We are a startup and are going to have some growing pains here and there.

Pros

Metromile has a great idea that has the potential to make a huge impact in the insurance industry. They have proven their business model and are focused on growing the product. The company has a good focus on engineering and doing things right. The work life balance is great. As with any tech company, there are crunch times where you have to work more, but on a regular basis, 40 hours is all that is required.

Cons

There is a significant amount of tech debt in some aspects of the code base. This is being fixed, but can result in some significant challenges at this point.
