Pros

Great work-life balance, leadership transparency, and smart and interesting coworkers. The product is awesome, and it's motivating to come to work everyday where people are excited and passionate about the product. Flat hierarchy = less ego. I've been here a few years so it was super helpful understanding how a startup grows from 20-200.

Cons

Still nailing down career/compensation ladder for my team and growth opportunities, but we've come a long way in the last few years.

Pros

Friendly, intelligent, dynamic team members and upper management team who are approachable, involved, and focused on transparency. We get a high level view of initiatives happening on a weekly basis and I feel the most informed about company happenings when compared to my past two companies.

Cons

Beer fridge skews towards IPA drinkers; Mac prevalence (PC user at heart here!)

Pros

Metromile has great facilities and goes a long way to attract, hire and retain talent. The company has big plans and is on track with its goals. The work environment is inclusive and encourages creativity. Co-workers are bright, talented and fun loving.There are a huge number of opportunities here for talented, creative people.

Cons

This is not a 100 year old Fortune 500 company. It is a startup. You have to be willing to adapt to change quickly.
