Pros

Basically impossible to get fired - reliable work with plenty of hours

Cons

You're an all-in-one everything computer repair, upgrades, data backups, operating system installs, 3d printer installs, customer computer installs, adding/requesting/deleting parts, as well as much much more go-to man. To make it simple, it's a lot of work and can become very stressful at times.

I'm sorry that your role was not what you wanted to do and I hope that you can find a role where you do only repairs. Our business has changed and we want our Technicians to work with as many customers as they can because our Technician's expertise is a definite advantage for our Company. Pros

Good place to learn the field and they will pay for your certification

Cons

Changing pay scale, no 401k match, lack of communication, most SOP`s where written in 2017 or earlier. Your day will be utter madness for the most part.

Decent sales job

Pros

Most of the managers were helpful, You get to learn about modern technology (monthly learning sessions), Customers are generally knowledgeable and better than you'll get at a gas station for example, Staff is friendly (minor gossip that you'll get at just about any job), Earnings are commission based so if you're good at selling replacement plans you'll end up with a bigger check, I got my current job by conversing with customers (had several job offers), met the CEO when he came by to push the credit card program - he was a good guy, cared about the employees, was out there on the floor helping the general sales staff, wasn't just concerned with the big sellers etc.

Cons

Some management issues (general manager threatened to fire entire floor staff for leaning/socializing when there were almost no customers in the store - those customers had already been checked on - cleaning was also already done at that point in the day - close to closing), cleaning/stocking time means less commission, pay overall is somewhat low and dependent on replacement plans/credit cards, inconsistent hours/days (typical of retail)
