Pros

Microcenter offers flexible schedules if you're employed part-time and a rolling 2 day off window if you're full time. The pay is great and the work is often fascinating depending on the customer. Some companies Micro center works with are IT firms and 3d animation studios so exposure to these industries offers a window into adjacent fields if you're interested in learning more.

Cons

Hours are rough, closing shifts used to be 1-10pm but now they pushed it to 2-11pm. Work life balance for full timers is hard to manage when management doesn't offer set days off to everyone. You'll be doing truck in the morning or at night and a lot of the merchandising is physically intensive. Management is hands off, which can be a plus, but rarely engages with the daily tasks and processes of the store operation so when things go wrong they don't always have a solution. Supervisor roles in each department often make less than their own sales associates so there is little motivation to get promoted.
