Heavy Favortism and bad management

Pros

The discount and coworkers are great. Everyone there has a passion for computers in one way or another.

Cons

Heavy favoritism is involved when selecting for promotions. Management will string you along in order to keep you where you are by promising upward movement, but will outright lie to you.

Pros

MicroCenter is the kind of place you want to work if you love being around computers. That's what they sell, the salespersons are all rather knowledgable so it's easy to support the sale from a Customer Service standpoint. Fair benefits package at 6 months even for part-time, employee discount is very competitive with other electronics retailers.

Cons

The stores are kinda dingy, the pay is so-so, and the pressure to sell 'extended warranties' that people already decide they want or don't want is high – there is commission on those for even cashiers, though.
