Pros

good culture and great middle management at least in the bethel microcenter. Employee discounts are pretty strong depending on the item (keycaps and drinks can be more then 50% off depending on manufacture markup.). Frequent bonus opportunities, and decent room to grow into a GS.

Cons

some stress on selling plans but that's the job. Wish employees were not barred from buying items in limited stock. Somewhat strict on being tardy, which can happen even if you arrive in store on time due to office computers being slow to boot.

Bethel Rd. truly lives the gear, by taking care of the customer, store, and merchandise. Also, Bethel does an excellent job of hiring great associates like yourself and preparing them for growth opportunities as they are available. Selling plans is a part of the job, but the fact that you get additional compensation for selling the plans allows for an unlimited earning potential. Pros

Employee discount is great on protection plans, food & drink, cables, peripherals, etc (not so much on bigger items on computer parts, laptops, TVs, etc). A roster of employees with similar passions & interests. Opportunity for advancement or extra commission.

Cons

Mid-Management isn't super inspiring and only cares about selling protection plans. Pay is great if (and only if) you are a natural salesperson.

The Columbus location has an internal promotion rate of 63% which is a testament to the leadership team and their commitment to developing themselves and others. At the GM level, Micro Center has promoted 23 of the 26 GMs which is an outstanding 88%. Cons

Pay is low and will live pay check to paycheck HR states “half of America is living pay check to paycheck and our rates are very competitive” They are low manned because HR believes they do not need the funds even though the call center is the back bone of their company and save their sales and profits from failure
