Pros

This company has only one perfect thing. It's the people. If not for that, I would have left a long time ago.

Cons

Strategy is completely disorganized; so you're constantly forced to find order inside company's chaos - which affects how you think, behave and will cause a lot of long-term stress. Most of this is happening outside of your normal awareness; because on the other hand Strategy is very good at making you feel needed. But it comes down to this: the company is faking a constant change so that you remain blind to the fact that what you are actually doing is completely repetitive and has no actual value. There is only some place for creativity, which only was because of StackIT in my case - so technical reasons because this cloud is in beta stage basically, causing problems. Whatever automations I did in python, including creating the logfetcher log collection tool to make things a lot simpler for the Support Team - will eventually go down the drain soon, as a completely different team is responsible for creating the new cmc deployment console - which will basically have most the functions that I automated on the backend - anyway. Other reasons include my manager being a very subtle and quiet - but still a micromanagement lover. He will laugh things out and is a great person to talk to, but on the actual work related levels - he will hide everything so well that you have no idea what you are actually doing. He will create an artificial atmosphere and expect everyone to strictly follow his lead (although still retaining the strong social colleague level factor to a very positive outlook). This in essence creates a convoluted world, in which you move blindly and have no awareness of the sincere, actual ongoings. So in essence his approach is fully in sync with Strategy and has nothing to do with openness. This is not entirely his fault, as managers in this company are basically puppets who can do nothing. Every decisions to be made goes through VP level in 80% of cases. In general however, I did enjoy my stay here as I grew a lot in the "director of organized confusion" area - making my way through the chaos jungle each day. Other than that - the growth opportunities stopped, the true nature of in company politics and absolutely NO organization came out fully transparent - and so I have made my decision to leave. The only thing holding me back from making the decision sooner - was the job market state, which only recently recovered - which allowed me to swiftly change a job back to what I was doing in the past already for 2 years - creative DevOps with a lot of freedom in creating solutions according to my mind, will, creativity, art-like approach and the level at which I operate.
